What are the Party Essentials?

Tassels!

These colorful tissue paper garlands are often used to hang off various items at your venue. Tables, walls, balloons, doors, etc are all places you might see them strung up around a party.

Tassels are super customizable, in that you can order them in almost any color and then place them in any order you want upon the string of which they hang. It makes for an easy way to bring color pop to your party, while also keeping clean up simple and easy. We recommend reusing them as home decor, or for future parties if they are stored neatly, but you can also recycle them or gift them after!

As far as how essential they are to a party, we would rate them a 3/5. While you can certainly throw a party without them, they add a certain element of razzle dazzle to your party and can really personalize the overall experience. While they may be one of the more expensive purchase when it comes to party decor, depending on length and how many you need, they can really be worth the money spent when it comes to elevating the overall look and experience of your party decorations.

Balloons!

Balloons are your best friend for parties. Most people would consider balloons to be how you know it's a party! There is such a variety in balloon options for every party, no matter how niche, and they are usually cost friendly and easy to manage. They also make for easy cleanup in most situations, glitter or confetti balloons being mild outliers in this situation.

Whether you are filling them with helium and attaching them to your mail box or blowing them up with air and streaming them from the ceiling - balloons are probably the most essential when it comes to party decor. We would rate them a 5/5 on the party kit needs list.

They are fairly versatile, as they can be used for such a variety of things at parties. They can be used to signify to guests where to go, as toys for young kids, for various party games, and for uplifting the decor game by placing them strategically around your venue. Not to mention, they can bring a simple elegance to the aesthetic of your event.

When disposing of balloons, please make sure to do it responsibly! And try to only order the number of balloons you need to meet your goals and craft your vision, as to not be disposing of too much latex or other plastics found in balloons. Fun for parties, usually not fun for the environment - so please don't release them into the sky as a way to rid yourself of them.

Confetti!

Some people love it, some people hate it. Confetti can be a fun addition to your party, but some feel it's a messy addition. However you may feel about this paper product, it's important to understand its value when it comes to decorating a function.

Confetti can be used in a couple of ways. It can be used as table scatter, on gift tables or food tables (be sure to scatter it before putting food down to ensure you don't get it into anything edible, because confetti is likely not something you want to eat), or even on side tables to add some pizzazz. Confetti can go into gift bags, be attached to wrapping paper to make gifts more customized & themed, or even be taped up on the walls! It can also be used to decorate the floor, if you're having a party where that is applicable.

An important note about confetti is that it does not always have to be made from glitter based materials. It is entirely possible to get confetti made from matte or foil based materials instead, so you don't have to worry about the glitter clean up. We even offer confetti in our shop that is made from alterative materials.

The usefulness of confetti is reliant on what your vision is for your party. As far as essentials go, we rate it a 2/5.

Cake & Cupcake Toppers!

Are you having cake at your party? Or am dessert you can slide a skewer into with ease (such as brownies or cookies)? Then cake or cupcake toppers are a MUST have! We rate it a 4/5 on the essential scale of party decor. Why? Because if your party is themed, this is such a quick, simple, and easy way to build to your party aesthetic without any hard setup steps. Most cake toppers are prebuilt, so all you have to do is top your baked goods with them and you're all set!

The nice thing about cake toppers is they are so customizable. From colors and themes to whether your toppers are 2D or 3D, everything about them is easily altered to fit your party needs. We offer a large selection of cake toppers in our shop, and more to come! They add elegance, color, and creativity to your party just by sitting on top of your cake -- or whatever featured food items you may have!

They are also one of the easiest party decor items to dispose of responsibly. Wipe off the food from the skewers attached, and recycle them.

Note: some cake toppers may be made of non-recyclable material. Please reference the individuals items you have at your party to know what items can be recycled and what items must go in the trash. Clean up your party responsibly with sustainability in mind!

Rosettes!

Such a fun way to add some spice to your party! These wall hanging decorations bring your theme to life when paired with matching balloons, poms, and tassels. 

Rosettes are less used party decorations, but they bring some fun to the table when added to your decor list for a party. They can be attached to most walls, and you can order them however you'd like to in order to fit your vision. Plus, they are super simple to construct if you don't get them prebuilt.

How essential are they for parties? Maybe a 2/5. However, we still recommend them for the parties meant to be decked out to a larger extent! They add pop and texture to your party theme, and can really add to your overall theme.

You can also reuse them for other things, such as home wall art or even holiday decor! They're quite versatile and you'll get your moneys worth if you continue to use them after your party has come and gone.

Centerpieces!

Centerpieces are a conversation starter. They're frilly, they're colorful, and they are comparable in size to some of your larger decorations. Wherever you may decide to place them for your event, they will be sure to draw some eyes and become a bit of a spotlight piece. Which makes them such a nice addition to any party you may throw!

Centerpieces that match your theme can go a long way when it comes to your party throwing game. They won't outshine your birthday cake, but they will have some people asking you where you get your party decor ideas from. They bring so much to the table, so it begs the question - why wouldn't you get a centerpiece or two for your party?

We give them a 3/5 on the essential scale, and encourage people to get them for whatever party they may throw. They're simple to fluff, easy to place, and shine bright like a diamond during your party hours!

Poms!

A little time consuming to put together if you don't purchase them pre-fluffed, but well worth using if you want to really deck out your party. They can sit on table tops, be taped up to walls, or even be used in place of balloons to signify to guests where the party is (if it's nice outside). They can even be used to make photo worthy backdrops for party-goers to take those cute pics to share on Insta!

Coming in a variety of colors, textures, and sizes - poms are well worth having at your next party. They can compliment your themes and color schemes as accent pieces, and easily reused or recycled after the party is done. 

We rate them a 4/5 on the essential scale for parties, due to the above listed reasons. We wouldn't have a party without them, would you?

They also make fun toys for kids during the party, so if those little ones will be in attendance, you can let them play around with the poms (under supervision of course! We don't want the toddler monsters eating the tissue paper!)
